Thanks to Mark Etting and the gang at Marketing Magazine for listing Buzz Canuck on its essential list of 12 blogs to read. It's truly distinguished company - I'm humbled by the entry and if nothing else, it encourages me to write more and better.

Cheers to the energy of my fellow Canadians Kate, Mitch, Michael, Joe and Ken/Arieh and my now adopted Canadian Jackie Huba. In ranging up and down the list, despite some of their admitted failings - I believe their common appeal stems from:
- fresh perspectives - they don't just rehash content, they mash it up and develop new-to-the-world ideas
- an openness of thought - their thinking and opinions rise above partisan position, A-lister cliques, functional silos or previously incorrect stances
- passion - you can't fake this, most bloggers have this - the ones above certainly do - if you're posting as frequently and intelligently as they are, you're not doing it for financial return, resume building or fame whoring - it's likely a personal cause and super zealous hobby
As Buzz Canuck's traffic counts and reputation climbs, it's also been gratifying to hear from the Silent Majority - people who I've never met before, avoid commenting on the blog but come up to me at some point and tell me how much they enjoy reading Buzz Canuck's perspective and analysis. I'd only ask that you reach out to me - although time-starved, I'm fascinated and grow personally by meeting new people like yourself with different perspectives.
Apologies to the 6 or 7 of these type of people I had met at the "From Mass to Grass" conference with the 20-second "hi, how are you" staccato conversations as I raced from panel to panel - let's grab a real or virtual coffee and meaningfully connect in the future.
