After getting over the blow of not being tapped to participate in CBC's intellectually challenging show Test The Nation, I at least have some solace in the fact that of 6 different occupational groups - Bloggers showed themselves to be the smartest (or given the questions, perhaps the most in touch).
Congrats to the Bloggers who beat our in order of placing - Backpackers, Flight Crew, Celebrity Look Alikes, Chefs and Cab Drivers. Granted the topic 21st century trivia was slanted to Blogger's informational omnivore habits, BUT it was Interesting, the types of people who were judged the savviest have an abundance of the 8 influential traits we've extolled about on Buzz Canuck.
The average blogger's score was a not-too-shabby 50 out of 60 with their celebrity supporter, Samantha Bee, posting a very respectable 47.
Congrats as well to big brained Rick Spence, who posted 57 out of 60 for the blogger team. I guess there's a reason why entrepreneurs listen to him.
Now if only I could get on the show in another category - marketers of bathroom tissue, Catholic school boys, weekend warriors with Plantar Fasciatis, word of mouth experts (don't know if we could fill a team of 30), former professional baseball ball boys...hmmm.
